We will be discussing the four parts of Medicare, the different enrollment periods for making a change to your plan, what to expect when you are approaching Medicare age, and the details of Medica's Medicare plans. Medica is based in Minnesota and has 34 years of not for profit health care experience. We provide a total healthcare solution and offer plans for employer groups, retiree groups, individuals, and individuals on Medicare. Our mission statement is as follows: "Our mission is to meet our customers' needs for health plan products and services. In doing so, we work with members and providers to make health care accessible, affordable and a means by which our members improve their health." Rhonda Loberg is an independent insurance agent, based in Fargo-Moorhead. Through her agency, she assists seniors, individuals, families and employer groups in securing health insurance to best meet their unique coverage needs. Rhonda has a Master's Degree in Health Care Administration and over 30 years of experience in the health care industry. In her career, she has worked for community-based programs, health care providers and for Medica, a health insurance provider. Over the past six years, Rhonda has presented numerous information sessions throughout the region on Medicare and related coverage. She especially enjoys working with clients who are eligible for Medicare and providing customer service beyond their expectations.

Dr. Paul Shogren of Med-Plus Health Care in Moorhead, MN, has recently completed advanced training in a new breakthrough treatment of Fibromyalgia that is successful in treating the disease without the use of harsh medications. Fibromyalgia is more prevalent in women than in men. Studies show that 90 percent of patients diagnosed are women. Join Mary Markland as we look at the good and the bad of Internet health information. Mary Markland is a medical librarian with the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences. She has been searching the Internet for more than 15 years.

Jane Indergaard is a married mother of three, former critical care/trauma and Emergency Room Nurse, who has been a professor of Nursing for 23 years. Due to her own extensive personal and professional experiences, Jane became keenly interested in and knowledgeable about dealing with mental health issues for children and young adults - particularly ADD/ADHD and other childhood behavioral disorders. This experience, combined with her nursing background and skills as a college educator and researcher has given Jane a unique perspective and down to earth approach on understanding and explaining the specific challenges of individuals who suffer from ADD/ADHD. It is Jane's hope that by sharing this knowledge and experience, that others will feel empowered to more adequately address the needs of people of all ages who suffer from ADD/ADHD and act as informed instruments of advocacy and support for this population.
